Thanks to Skylsmoi who reported the issue on the comment section of the game, I've spotted and fixed an issue where the game would try to ask Steam to register an achievement. As its a DRM-free version, Steam would then crash the game because no licence has been found.

This version should have all of the Steam calls deactivated, so please install this new package instead.
